You pass the same corner twice on a normal run. Your navigator decides you've made a wrong turn, silently re-plans, and starts steering you somewhere else.
Now you're arguing with a phone while forty children are behind you.
SchoolBusMap never re-plans. Your stops are a fixed sequence, driven in order. Passing a street a second time is just the second time — not an error to correct.
A stop is where children board. But half of a bus route is about which way you get between stops — the specific street, the specific turn, the place you turn around. SchoolBusMap has a point type for each.
Your district hands you a printed turn-by-turn sheet. Point the camera at it, page by page, and the app reads the stops, the turns and the streets and builds a draft route on the map — then hands it to you to check before you drive it.
Keep shooting pages; they merge into one route in order. Two districts on one run works too.
"Lori Ln & Jennifer Dr" resolves to the actual corner, using the district's own street network — not a guess at the town centre.
A scan is a draft. Every point lands on a map you can drag, retype and reorder before the first drive.
A stop sign appears about 800 ft out, with the distance counting down, and the phone buzzes once. Overshooting a stop is the error that costs the most.
No tilted 3D swing through a turn. The direction you're driving stays at the top, and turns stay square.
Stops, turns and U-turns share one sequence, so the order of the run is readable at a glance.
Fuel search looks for diesel. Parking search looks for lots a bus actually fits in.
Every point colour was chosen by simulating red, green and blue colour blindness and maximising the worst pair. Roughly one man in twelve needs this.
The driving screen never asks a question. Map controls only change the map.
